Smoky & Spicy Sauces

Two new signature flavors designed to bring some smokey and spicy heat to our cheesesteaks - go with steak, chicken, creamy or roasted - you can’t go wrong. Smoky Southwest Sauce: A flavorful and complex blend of fire roasted peppers and onions in a creamy dressing with notes of bright acidity. Salsa Verde: A French green jalapeño and tomatillos are charred and blended into a fresh savory salsa verde.

New Smoky & Spicy Cheese Steaks Coming This Summer for a Limited Time

On May 20, Jersey Mike’s will roll out two new Limited Time menu items - The Smoky Southwestern Cheese Steak with Smoky Southwest Sauce and the Salsa Verde Chicken Cheese Steak with Salsa Verde Sauce. These new offerings will launch in all locations across the country and use our standard Beef and Chicken Philly builds with the addition of the signature sauces.

An LTO marketing and operational materials kit will autoship the week of April 29. A case of each sauce will be autoshipped the week of May 6 with a second case to follow on June 3. The cheese steaks will be added to the price portal on April 8 with recommended pricing and new buttons for the LTO items will appear on the POS by May 20.

When removing the Catering Magnet, place the Catering Magnet in tube that the LTO magnet arrives in. After the LTO you will be removing the LTO magnet and putting up your existing Catering Magnet.

The two cheese steaks will be added to the price portal on April 8.

Recommended pricing will be as follows:

  • Smoky Southwestern Cheese Steak (Beef) – Regular $9.95 / Giant $17.95 

  • Salsa Verde Chicken Cheese Steak (Chicken) – Regular $9.75 / Giant $17.65 

If you wish to change from Corporate recommended pricing, you will need to make your changes to the Price Portal by Tuesday, April 23. Pricing will be pulled on that day for the LTO menu magnet. 

The buttons will appear on the POS by May 20. Please reference the image below for button placement on the POS.

FAQ

  • The LTO will start May 20 and last for 90 days or until supplies last.

  • Both builds follow current operations, the only difference is that the Salsa Verde gets added onto the grill and cooks in with the chicken in order to bring out the flavors and spice.

    The Smoky Southwestern sauce is added directly onto the bread for the Smoky Southwestern Cheese Steak.

  • Yes, both sauces will be available in the order guide. Delivered case cost per sauce: $89.29 / Case size: 15 /32 oz

    Your autoshipment of the two sauces should last around 30 days.

  • Customers can customize their builds and add the sauces to other menu items, however the Smoky & Spicy flavors are best experienced on the cheese steaks.

  • We will be running TV Commercials, Digital Advertising, and outreach to customers via MyMike’s channels in two waves.

    In store, the catering menu panel will be replaced with images of the new Smoke & Spicy platform.

  • Yes. Each Sub will have an exclusive POS button, they will be visible on May 20.
