Grilled Bowls are a new concept that takes the familiarity of a classic Jersey Mike’s grilled sub, a bag of Doritos® tortilla chips, adds a little bit of freshness and combines them into one bowl that you can eat any way you want. The platform looks to provide new menu offerings that leverage current ingredients and reinforce our signature flavors in a new way.

Nacho Cheese Steak Bowl

Our Nacho Cheese Steak Bowl is our cheesesteak grilled with pepper strips and onions under melted American cheese - with jalapenos, a bed of lettuce on the side, topped with Nacho Cheese Doritos and finished with a squeeze of Chipotle Mayo.

Cool Ranch® Chicken Bowl

Our Cool Ranch Chicken Bowl is our chicken cheesesteak grilled with pepper strips and onions under melted American cheese - with jalapenos, a bed of lettuce on the side, topped with Cool Ranch Doritos and finished with a squeeze of Ranch Dressing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • The Grilled Bowls are built with ingredients seperated - fresh lettuce on one side of the bowl, our grilled Philly or Chicken cheesesteak on the other, with Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch® Doritos® in the middle. This allows the product to travel and be carried with ideal integrity. Placing lettuce on top, or below grilled meats, creates excessive condensation that degrades the overall performance, not to mention the Doritos® get soggy and break down quickly.

  • With any delivery or carry-out, there will be a certain amount of product degradation. However, the Grilled Bowls were designed to extend the product’s life as long as possible. Grilling the protein and placing it on one side and then placing a portion of lettuce on the opposite side, with the chips in the middle, helps to keep the protein warm, the lettuce cool, and the Doritos® crunchy.

  • Grilled Bowls should drive new excitement to the bowl platform by offering a unique nacho deconstructed taco feel. Our goal is to directly target the 18-34 male consumer; leveraging the core Doritos® consumer and an audience that is quickly gaining traction within the Jersey Mike’s system.

  • Just like customization on a submarine, customers are allowed to make changes to their Grilled Bowls. Once a customer selects either the steak or chicken bowl they can choose either flavor of Doritos. They can also choose to add or remove any vegetables and substitute a sauce. Grilled Bowls are line priced at $11.95 each.

  • Yes and no... The new Grilled Bowls are built with a certain recipe and operational build steps to ensure a quality bowl every time. Where a traditional sub bowl and bag of chips can be purchased and mixed together, these bowls are designed to leverage that flavor combination in a way that can be built quickly, presented well and packaged together as one item.
