POS & FLAVOR PORTAL

Pre Cookie Rollout

  • The GF Snickerdoodle will be removed as a modifier under the “COOKIE” button, and the “GF COOKIE” will be made its own button under the Extra tab on the POS.

  • David’s Cookies will be named David’s Chocolate Chip, David’s M&M, etc. These will be removed at the conclusion of the national rollout.

  • The in-store kitchen ticket will display a “D” after the flavor for David’s Cookies.

  • When you fully deplete your existing stock of David’s cookies, disable David’s flavors on digital menus and enable the new Chocolate Chunk Cookie in Regular and Three-Pack on the Flavor Portal. Ensure that the David’s and Chocolate Chunk Cookie are not available for digital orders at the same time.

  • Prior to launch, a new Beverage/Dessert Menu Panel will be shipped to each store with the new Kids Meal price. You will receive an email from JMFS detailing the process prior to your rollout.

  • Hang the new panel when you start to serve the Chocolate Chunk Cookie.

Provided is suggested retail pricing for all options that will be affected. Current includes the David’s 1.5 oz Chocolate Chip Cookie and NEW refers to 2.25 oz Chocolate Chunk Cookie.

POS & FLAVOR PORTAL

Post Cookie Rollout

  • Once your market’s cookie rollout phase occurs, the following change will automatically be made. Deactivate all David’s Cookie products and activate Chocolate Chunk Cookie.

  • All the new operations charts will be automatically shipped. The new 6” x 6” Perfect Cookie decal with baking instructions should be placed on the proofer door.

  • Calorie count stickers for the individual and three-pack of cookies will no longer be needed. This information will be displayed on the “Boardwalk Grab-n-Go” display.

  • Gluten Free Cookie now has its own button on the POS. The location is on the Extra tab.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Optimizing to only one size cookie is beneficial to Jersey Mike’s for many reasons. Currently, customers have to choose between a small 1.5 oz and a giant 4.5 oz cookie, the new 2.25 oz cookie is an average between the two sizes and it also lets us optimize packaging display and additional delivery options. One size cookie also allows for an easy LTO drop and new additional flavors that don’t need additional operational guides.

    Moving to a single size cookie gives customers a focused offering and more importantly, simplifies the supply chain, in-store baking operations, labeling and allows for one piece of packaging that actually fits the product.

  • The new Chocolate Chunk Cookie formulation is a proprietary signature recipe for Jersey Mike’s. It’s made with real butter and brown butter flavoring ensuring the product remaing fresh for longer. It also ha a higher percentage of sweet and bitter sweet chocolate inclusions.

  • Yes, we are looking at creating seasonal LTO offerings that give consumers a reason to come in “while supplies last”. These items are meant to be in addition to the signature line of cookies that are evergreen and add incremental sales to the dessert program. Potential flavors could be a blueberry cheesecake in the spring, a Strawberry shortcake cookie in the summer, an apple pie cookie in the fall, and a frosted gingerbread cookie in the winter.

  • Yes, stickers with the detailed nutritional panel will be included in the Boardwalk kit and available through Uniserv for single serve and 3-pack boxes.

  • Follow the current operations for catering and lunch box orders. Cookies should be individually packed in the clear sleeve and sealed with the appropriate sticker.
