The Boardwalk
The display retrofits on top of existing chip racks and will feature desserts and retail items. “The Boardwalk” allows for a custom arrangement of desserts and retails items with additional room for future innovations. It showcases these items while eliminating the need for baskets, clings, and other displays that clutter the counter space. The display will ship during your phase of the cookie rollout.

There are a number of new items and upgraded items that will serve to elevate the entire dessert program. A new 2.25 oz Chocolate Chip Cookie will serve as the signature offering - along with the current Chocolate Chip Brownie and Gluten-Free Snickerdoodle.
Desserts will be displayed in a custom grab-n-go display that has been designed to fit onto exisiting chip racks. A new small box will be added for 3-count cookies. The current small logo stickers will be used for sealed closure. The kit will also include items like product name tags, dividers and product name holders.
-
The location for the desert display unit should be directly at the end of the sandwich line and before the POS, but this all depends on the amount of counter space available in your location. The display should be featured as prominently as possible, as this will encourage the upsell and enhance the visual appeal of the product once the customer has gone through the sandwich line. The highest cookie sales in the system came from stores placing cookies near the register. We know counter-space is limited, which is why the display takes up roughly the same space as a sheet of paper - but is built taller for better visibility. While current stores weren’t designed for the addition of a dessert counter display, there is available space. This may require the removal of additional cups or adjustment of the tip jar but we’re confident that the space near the POS is prime location to upsell and drive sales of dessert.

This new 3-count cookie box is being introduced as an easy upsell and grab-n-go item in additional to our individual fresh-served desserts. Testing has shown that customers routinely reach for the 3-count box when available - resulting in three sales at once; and further protecting the product when used in delivery or carryout.
